PAM 2024: That's a wrap!
Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate Pharmacy Appreciation Month (PAM) in March! We had great participation from the pharmacy community, as well as governments, patients, students and our colleagues across the health-care sector sharing their love for pharmacy. In case you missed it, here are some highlights:
- Giving kudos to Canada’s pharmacy teams – All month long, CPhA shined a light on many amazing pharmacy professionals, featuring dozens of pharmacy teams from across the country during PAM.
- Power of negotiation webinar – CPhA and CAPSI kicked off PAM with a special practice development webinar: The power of negotiation: Navigating your first (or next) career move.
- Pharmacy Check-in: PAM edition – For PAM, we caught up with a few pharmacists across the country to explore some unique practices and to talk about what “the power of pharmacy” means to them and what makes each of them proud to be a pharmacist.
- Pharmacist of the Year – On the heels of a successful PAM we announced the 2024 Canadian Pharmacist of the Year: Dr. Sherif Hanafy Mahmoud.
Let’s continue to recognize and thank our pharmacy professionals all year long for the essential role they play in our health care system!
#MyFavePharmContest
We asked patients to tell us why they love their pharmacy team by nominating them for a chance to win a tablet for themselves and their favourite pharmacy team member. Congratulations to pharmacist Frank Longo from Sault Ste. Marie, nominated by Abigail who had some great things to say about him!
We loved reading the kind words from nearly 700 patients who entered to tell us why they their pharmacy teams! Keep an eye out as we share some of our favourite #MyFavePharm submissions.
